Erin Heights Drive

Erin, Ontario
2022

Situated in a quiet, tree-lined estate subdivision in Erin, this traditional 1970s bungalow was completely reimagined into a bright, open-concept home with a timeless yet contemporary aesthetic. Vaulted ceilings in the living and dining areas, a spacious ensuite, and custom-designed closets with a dressing area transformed the home into a functional and elegant retreat.

Renovation Highlights

  • Open-Concept Layout: All main-floor walls were removed, creating an airy flow throughout the living spaces.

  • Custom Kitchen & Work Area: A bespoke kitchen and integrated desk were designed with both style and functionality in mind.

  • Living Room: A stone-clad gas fireplace introduced warmth and rustic character.

  • Staircase: A solid white oak staircase was installed, bringing natural texture and craftsmanship into the heart of the home.

  • Primary Suite: The former primary bedroom and closet were combined into a single spacious retreat with custom wardrobes, while a large ensuite featuring minimalist tile and fixtures offered a calming, spa-like atmosphere.

  • Light & Finishes: A new exterior door brought more natural light into the main living space, complemented by all new interior doors, trim, and wide-plank engineered white oak flooring. Slate tile in the entryway and lower hallway added durability and contrast.

  • Refined Details: An Oriental white marble subway backsplash, paired with elegant gold hardware and fixtures, elevated the kitchen and tied together the home’s sophisticated yet welcoming feel.

This thoughtful renovation proves that with the right vision, a dated bungalow can be transformed into a light-filled, modern sanctuary.
