Situated in a small village in Caledon, this lovely home was beautifully maintained, however, it lacked a second bathroom and enough closet space for a growing family. It also lacked a strong enough foundation to support an addition and required piles to suspend the addition above the 100+ year old porch. The façade of the building was then sided with Maibec wood siding, to look like the two parts were connected. After about a 3 month build time, the finished product turned out exceptionally. The old bedroom was turned into a galley closet/dressing area, leading into the new addition with a bright and spacious primary bedroom and ensuite. The laundry was moved from the basement to the second floor and a heat pump was added to the extension with it's own zone. Heated floors, skylights, large windows and a variety of different light fixtures brought this project together, to create an inviting space and allowing our client's their own tranquil oasis.
